Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the VolunTree, volunteering app, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, you may not use the App.

2. Eligibility

VolunTree App is intended for use by individuals who are at least 18 years of age. By registering for an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

3. User Accounts

When you create an account, you agree to provide accurate and complete information, including your full name, date of birth, and email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Respecting Charity Organizations’ Terms

Each charity organization that uses the App to post volunteer opportunities may have its own terms and policies. You are required to review and respect these terms when engaging with the organization. Failure to adhere to the charity's guidelines may result in suspension or termination of your access to the App.

5. Respectful Communication

All users of VolunTree App are expected to communicate respectfully at all times. This applies to messaging within the App, interactions with other volunteers, and communications with charity organizations. Harassment, discriminatory remarks, offensive language, or any form of disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated and may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.

6. Volunteering Commitment and "No-Show" Policy

By signing up for a volunteer opportunity through the App, you are making a commitment to attend and participate as scheduled.

• No-Show Policy: If you commit to a volunteering opportunity and fail to attend without notifying the charity organization in advance, this will be recorded as a "no-show."
• Cancellation: If you are unable to attend a scheduled volunteering job for any reason, you must notify the charity organization as soon as possible through the App or directly.
• Consequences for No-Shows: If you fail to attend two consecutive volunteer opportunities without proper notification, your account will be temporarily suspended, and you will no longer be able to contact charity organizations for future opportunities. Reinstatement of access will be at the discretion of [App Name].

7. Prohibited Conduct

Users of the App are prohibited from:

• Providing false or misleading information during registration or while interacting with charity organizations.
• Engaging in illegal activities or behavior that violates the rights or privacy of others.
• Using the App for commercial purposes unrelated to volunteering.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we believe you are violating any of these terms, including failing to respect charity organizations’ policies or engaging in inappropriate conduct within the App.

9. Modifications to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted in the App, and continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
